I love to write letters and I've seen so many penpal swaps I almost join until I read "send an introduction letter". When I read that, I click away. I am a "dive right in" kind of gal! I think one of the best way to get to know someone is through their lives, experiences, and thoughts. Not with a general run-down of their likes and dislikes. Plus, isn't it always more fun to discover that organically? I think so! And if you agree, then this is the swap for you! You will write one letter to your partner. This cannot be a typical intro letter. This is not a rundown of your likes and dislikes. This is not you talking about the kind of penpal you are or are looking for. This is not an inventory letter. This is just a dive right in letter! Will there be some of those intro things in it? Of course. You will probably talk about your favorite tv show because it's on while you write. No biggie. But it just shouldn't be a typical "intro" letter. If you and your partner want to get to know each other, you can write back and all those things about you will fall into place bit by bit. So, if you're interested in diving right in, join the swap and let's write some letters! How long should your letter be? I am not putting a page limit on this. Because some of us use stationery and some of us use full notebook pages. Just please write a letter you would enjoy receiving. The more you write, the better your partner gets to know you! Newbies welcome with a well filled-out profile. Please don't join if you don't intend to fulfill; it's just not nice. |
