QnT’s 1930’s Quilt Block Swap #3 9/30/11 thru 10/24/11 n 1 partner one 12 ½†quilt block (senders choice) 100% cotton 1930’s reproduction prints We will have at least 12 of these swaps, possibly 16 as interest dictates. You should strive to make your block in any pattern that was popular during the 1930’s, including those cute animal appliqués like Scottie dogs, cats in baskets, chickens and bunnies. You may choose to make your block from a drunkard’s path pattern, or the Ohio Star, or any quilt block that says 1930’s to you. For inspiration I love going to the library and getting books on 1930’s quilts and fabrics. You may use plain white, or other plain colors to accent your 1930’s prints, but the majority of the fabric in your block should be 1930’s prints. |
