Fabric Fat Quarter Request Line R15

01/09/12 thru 02/09/12

The request line is once again open, with one change this time. Instead of sending two fat quarters to each partner, you will only send one. This is in an attempt to cut down on the international postage.

(Fat Quarter = a 18”X21-22” cut of 100% cotton fabric)

In this swap you will have two partners and send each partner 1 Fat Quarters of 100% cotton fabric. Please no recycled fabric, you should send new purchased FQ’s or you can cut the FQ’s from your stash of 100% cotton fabric. Cut as accurately as possible, so as not to cut less than 18”X21-22”. Larger cuts are welcome, but not less than 18”X21-22”. Be sure to list below your choice of color print, and try not to be too specific in order to make it easier for partners to meet your request.

Newbies are welcome with a completed profile, 5 snail-mail swaps under their belts, and at least a 4.8 rating. Yep, I check profiles before letting the computer assign the partners.

Questions, or concerns are welcome, just PM me.

Enjoy!

thank you so much quiltncat for catching that....what would I do without my wonderful swap-bot buddies!

I would really like to be involved, but being new, I have no rating. Frankly, with only wanting to swap fabric there is no way for me to get a rating without a group that will make an exception. Would you still allow me to participate?

Hello all, looking forward to this swap.

I would like to request no large prints. Small all over prints work better for the quilts I make.

I am also looking for clearly printed cat and/or dog fabrics in black and white. Animal size no larger than up to three inches. Or small all over prints in black and white of any animals. Thanks

@silverewheet and I did a private swap and she is on her way to gathering enough rates and swaps to her credit to participate in our next round of this swap series. Great job @silverwheel

I love flower prints not huge and I love the vintage look

punkrokchik75 01/11/2012 #

Whiskers, I have SEVERAL black and white pet prints I could share with you :)

I have asked our buddie @mightbrooke77 to come back to us on round #16 of this series so she can build up her over-all profile score to the required 4.80 for this swap series. I look forward to seeing her then!

I really need solids or tone-on-tones that read as mostly solid. They are boring to me, so I never buy them, and then I go to make something and all I have are beautiful busy prints with nothing to go with them! I need lights more than mediums or darks, and I use earth tones, jewel tones, and neutrals most. I don't use country or repro prints fabric.

any things okay!

punkrokchik75 01/17/2012 #

perkl8r anything you need in particular or should I just go with your profile likes?

dally 01/17/2012 #

punkrokchik, how about you, anything in particular you're looking for?

I like smaller prints, currently looking to make projects with reds, yellows, and greys, so starting to collect those. Anything japanese (kawaii cute). I also like brights, batiks, etc.

I forgot to post what I like! I like vintage look fabrics, but colourful rather than stuffy, or anything quirky really :)

punkrokchik75 01/23/2012 #

dally...looking for purples of all kinds to do a nearly all purple flower garden/hexie quilt. Also will never turn down solids, batiks, halloween fabrics and jewel tones. I don't like country or folksy prints, overly flowerly prints(purples are ok) and am not a pink girl. Also do alot of flannel baby quilts so if you have any solid or print flannels I can use those too. But send me what you have I am a fabric junkie :)

I ordered fabric specially from the US to fit my partners' requirements and it's been misdelivered back to the sender rolls eyes

So just so you know I will still be on target because I am sorting it this weekend, I just don't like leaving it til last minute so thought I'd best explain myself early on :P
