1 Partner Swap

Requirements:

  • Alter 1 gum package to create a mini tag holder

  • Create 6 tags to go inside: decorate 3 and leave 3 blank for your partner to decorate as they like (3 fit nicely on each side)

  • Use the template HERE or a package of UP2U gum for this swap.

Here is what one looks like started:

Eligibility:

  • All group members in good standing with no current swapping or rating issues allowed.

Rating:

  • I require all participants of my swaps to rate according to the swap bot rules. Rate based on receiving 1 altered gum package, with 6 tags, 3 decorated 3 plain, sent on time. Everyone has a different tastes and talents.

Angeling:

I will angel see my rules on my profile (hopefully this will not be needed, because we are all so awesome).

Can you post instructions on how to make the holder? This swap sounds fun but I'm not sure what to do with the gum package.

There are no real instructions for this project but I got the idea from THIS VIDEO I didn't want to do this exactly the same so I chose a different gum package and left out the key ring, really you can do it anyway you want as long as you are using the right gum package so everyone is getting the same thing.

Basically what I have done is:

  • Using double sided paper create the outer package, or you can just cover a package if you have the same gum. Just like making a matchbox!

  • Decorate the outer package with embellishments or ink or stamps, whatever you like. I find that the slit closure is difficult to recreate so I usually add a ribbon to shut the package but velcro or a magnet would work too.

  • Create 6 little tags from card stock and decorate 3, or you can use the small shipping tags they fit in here too. Leave the other 3 for your partner to add photos or journaling or whatever they like.
