Due to people's overwhelming desire for an international version of @wolfeagle 's Big Fat Stuffed Envelope swap, I asked her if I could create such a swap, and she has given me the go-ahead. Thank you, @wolfeagle ! This is a pretty easy swap. Newbies with well filled out profiles are encouraged. I know that we all have to start somewhere and this would be a GREAT swap in which to do that! :) If this is successful, I will do it again. Send a stuffed envelope with assorted goodies to ONE partner. Please send a long business size envelope that measures approxmiately 4x9 inches (11.4 x 22.9 cm, I believe), but you may go bigger if you choose! There is no minimum or maximum number of items to send, just make sure your envelope is stuffed full. The items you send are sender's choice only. You may check your partner's profile to make sure you are not sending her/him any items they dislike, but this is not a profile-based swap, so please do not spend a lot of money shopping for profile surprises. This does NOT mean you can send your trash; send only items in good, usable condition. Please do not send items like your used candy wrappers, written-on appointment cards, loose memo scraps, et cetera. DO send items from the list below!! If you are unsure of anything, please ask me :) Examples include (but are not limited to): Postcards (unwritten-on) Small, unpainted, flat wood items Greeting cards Stationery that has never been used Ribbons Bookmarks Buttons Scrapbook papers, chipboard, various ephemera (an idea and list on what exactly ephemera is: http://www.scrapbook.com/tips/doc/28965/266.html) Beads, charms, jewellery findings Game pieces Altered art supplies Stickers Erasers Recipes/recipe cards Old photographs Small books (such as craft books, small blank notebooks, etc) Handmade items ATCs Craft supplies (feathers, sequins, fake crystals, pom pons, stuff like that!) Fabric remnants, sewing items Ribbons Yarn Rubber stamps, acrylic stamps, or stamped images (stamped images can be used by others for scrapbooking or card-making) Or anything else you want to share that is in good, usable condition :) ***EDIT: If you are in a country that allows tea and seeds from other countries, please feel free to specify that you would like to receive them so your partner knows it's safe to send them! I will be making a USA/Canada version of this swap sometime this spring, so there should be no problem with those otherwise iffy items then :) Please reinforce your envelope with tape at the seams. If you think there is a chance of the envelope exploding during mailing, use a larger one. You may also choose to put stuff in a baggie in case the envelope tears in transit. No recent no-sends or unexplained low ratings allowed!! Since this is an international swap, please give your partner's envelope plenty of time to arrive before rating. Rate fairly. Have fun. NO FLAKES ALLOWED. Do. Not. Flake. I WILL list all flakers, and they will be automatically banned from all future swaps that I host. I will seek out angels if any of you are flaked, but I am hoping all of you are responsible enough to send out your end! PLEASE NO RECENT UNEXPLAINED 1'S OR 3'S. I will be checking ALL profiles before the sign-up deadline. New Swappers: To fill out your profile, go to Profile. Select Edit Profile. Select Personal. You will be brought to a screen where you can fill in the sections or add your own information. Add a little bit about who you are, favourite colours, crafts you do, items you collect, hobbies, your likes and dislikes. You get the idea! All of this helps your partner to send you items that you will like or that you can use. |
