Swap-Lifted from @TerryF with her permission - thanks! You will be making one mini pocket book with tuck-ins for your partner. CLICK HERE for the YouTube tutorial showing how to make these cool little books. CLICK HERE for printed instructions. This mini book is made basically the same way but it is bound differently than the one shown onYouTube - the choice is yours! Since this is "partner's choice" please note the following in the comments sections below BY THE SIGN UP DEADLINE: (1) At least 3 general themes AND Your partner may mix and match the themes and/or colors you list or they might just focus on one of each. They may also use other colors as accents. Please don't list anything too obscure or make it difficult for your partner - if you list something like "golden mushrooms handpicked by orange unicorns" (or you fail to post anything at all) your partner has my permission to choose his/her own theme and colors.....! Check out your partner's listed themes and colors and using them as a guide create one mini pocket book and fill each of the 8 pockets with something. All pocket tuck-in items should fit the general theme of the mini book. At least 2 pockets must contain a handmade item - you may use any materials and any techniques you like. The other 6 pocket items may be purchased OR handmade. Ideas for filling the pockets:
- embellishments, e.g., paper flowers, rhinestone stickers, chipboard shapes, etc. If you cannot find double sided paper you can hand decorate the blank side of a sheet of scrapbooking paper using zentangle, doodling, etc., or you can stamp (and perhaps color) it. It is only necessary to decorate the part of the paper that will show when folded. Do NOT try gluing 2 sheets of scrapbooking paper together as it will be too thick and the folds will peel/ shred. |
