Description:

Have some old magazines lying around that you've already read and don't know what to do with? For this swap each person will swap one commercially produced magazine with one partner. (some examples of commercially produced magazines include Allure, Vogue, Art Jewelry, In Style, American Artist, Redbook etc...) The magazine should be recent, issued between February 2012 through April 2012. It is not necessary to go out and purchase a a brand new magazine for this swap if you don't want to. The point of this swap is to pass on an issue that you've already read and no longer want to keep. It can be a magazine issue you've purchased specifically for this swap, or it can be a magazine you're subscribed to and have already read, as long as it is in decent condition- no missing or cut up pages please. This is senders choice, but please take note of your partner's profile and preferences and try to send a magazine you think they would enjoy reading. It is a good idea to leave a comment below stating what magazines you are currently subscribed to so your partner doesn't send you an issue you've already read. Newbies welcome with well filled out profile. For established swappers, minimum rating of 4.8 required. *Note- this is the first swap I've hosted, so please message me or comment below if I've left anything out or if I need to clarify the directions or answer any questions. Thanks! Happy Swapping!

Hi there,

Welcome to swap-bot. Great idea for a swap - reduce, reuse, recycle! May I make a suggestion though? The required rating is pretty low. Many swapers have perfect 5 ratings. Good swappers who sent out late a couple of times, or got one unfair rating, or got behind but worked hard to catch up would be close to 5. 4.5 is someone who has flaked - repeatedly - or sends late consistently. You might want to set your minimum at 4.8, 4.9, 4.95 or something like that. Many good swappers wouldn't join a swap with a 4.5 minimum. Good luck with the swap!

hi-i just came across this site a few hrs ago and have been searching around looking at the swaps, well i have magazines from hobby farmers, some mother earth, sheep, and i believe horse magazines along with knitting, crocheting, spinning etc. I see the magazines must be 2 months old? I do have older ones that are in great condition and this would be a great way just to pass them around, is 2 months the only time limit?
