A mother’s work is never done. And when you want to keep your clothes clean, but you still have to do the dishes, make supper, mop the floors, and referee the kids’ mud wrestling match, what are you supposed to do? Your supposed to thank your lucky stars that your swap partner sent you a great gift! This is designed for moms, moms to be, ex moms, and even dadmoms. In this swap you will have one partner, and you will be sending the following: 1) A ½ apron. This is the kind that only covers your legs, and ties at the waist. This can be homemade, or maybe you have an old one that you never used. You can also try shopping at an antique store for a real old fashioned one. Try to match the apron with something from your partners profile, for hearts. Get creative with this! Knit, crochet, sew, or embrioder one. A handmade apron is much more heartfelt! You could even make a new one out of a set of old curtains from the thrift store! If purchasing an apron, please try to keep it under $10.00. If making one, please keep material costs about the same. 2) A cookie recipe – Your favorite cookie recipe. Because who doesn’t like cookies? 3) A wooden Spoon – Put a bow on it, buy a fancy expensive bamboo one, or carve it yourself! Either way, send a wooden spoon to mix up that cookie dough with. Please try to keep this around $3.00. How much can wooden spoons cost? Since this is a mothers day swap, the send date will be 8 days before mothers day, to allow time for shipping. This is an International swap, too! So everybody can join in on the apron making! This swap is Newbie Friendly! My mom and I will be angeling packages personally, but we would rather not have to. The purpose of the swap is getting the items from someone you don’t know! You will have 5 weeks, to allow time for making the apron, or finding it. Whichever you choose. Happy Mothers Day! This swap is done in collaboration with Happydollmaker, as it was her idea. If you have any questions, please e-mail or message me. |
