Description:

I thought this would be fun to Zentangle a Rubber Duck.

This is simple, draw an Rubber Duck (If you need help drawing the shape you can use the swap image) on your ATC then zentangle it to your hearts content. That's it! If you want to taper it to your partner that is fine but not required.

1 card to 1 partner, standard ATC rules apply. Rating of a 4.5 or higher. Unrated swappers allowed. NO FLAKERS!

Have fun and don't send something you would not like to receive.

I thought we were going to buy a real rubber duck and zentangle that...hehe that would be fun too!

I thought about that too. Maybe next time. :-)

DUDE! That's such a fun idea - totally up for it, if I can figure out what pens/markers to use to zentangle on a rubber ducky. Sharpies perhaps?

quiltncat 03/29/2012 #

I bet sharpies would work. You might have to be careful not to smudge. My son has a rubber ducky and I have sharpies....hmmm. An experiment might be in order!

I say sharpie and perhaps a clear coat if you are worried. I think I heard that the dollar tree has duckies.

OK, I did it! I created a swap to Zentangle an actual rubber duck, you can find it on my profile page.

Okay, I tried to look up zentangle in the dictionary, no luck. I know I must be missing something, so someome tell me what it means please. I admit I am lost!!! ha ha

Do a Google image search and go from there, they are very addicting, basically you break up the image and fill each space with tiny repetitive patterns with a fine tip black felt tip marker.

I worked on my ATC last night, and it turned out pretty cute. I hope my partner likes it.
