Description:

Do you have a lot of patterned paper you can hardly use up? Do you have beautiful stamps that seem overwhelming on a fancy greeting card? Then here's the swap for you!

For this swap, you will create (at least) 5 handmade note cards of any size or shape. These should be simple cards with sparse or non-existent embellishments, made from good quality patterned paper adhered to card stock or solid color card stock with a stamped/printed image. Remember, these are note cards, not greeting cards, and the insides should be kept blank and the outside should be kept fairly flat.

  • Include envelopes for each card, either handmade to match or store brought--they must fit the card pretty closely.
  • DO NOT just cut a piece of patterned paper in half and fold it. It should be adhered to a heavy card stock liner so that the pen does not press through to the paper. If you are using card stock with printed/stamped images, I still suggest you line the card with something, but it may not be necessary.
  • If you decide to make miniature gift tag style note cards, TWO of those will count as ONE note card.

International as shipping shouldn't be very much if you are only sending 5 cards. Newbies welcome with well-filled in profile. This is not a very difficult swap, and a good way to get a Type 3 rating if you are new! I will angel, as I make these by the dozen all the time.
