Description:

PostSecret is an ongoing community art project where people mail in their secrets anonymously on one side of a homemade postcard.

If you've never heard of the project please visit the blog or Google it. The basics are that people record a secret on a postcard or some other medium and mail it to Frank Warren, the founder of the project. He places some of the secrets on his blog, which is updated each Sunday, or features them in his books. Writing the secrets down and sending them off to Frank gives many people a new way to cope and let go of the burden that comes with keeping a secret.

Details:

Create or buy some type of canvas to record one (1) secret on, which will be sent to one (1) partner. By canvas I mean something simple and easy to send like a postcard, piece of cardboard, Starbucks cup (see above picture), etc. Make sure you've never shared the secret before. Most people who send in secrets send them on postcards, which may or may not be handmade. Please do not send a letter or something that needs to be sent in an envelope or package. The only exception would be if your secret is on the envelope itself. PostSecrets are meant to be short and to the point. You may decorate or add to it as much or as little as you'd like (as long as it sends without an envelope or packaging).

Visit the PostSecret Blog for examples. A simple Google search will bring up more examples, if necessary.

Requirements:

--willing to receive something store-bought or handmade

--willing to receive a secret that could possibly be offensive to you

--willing to send a private, never-shared secret to your partner

--must have a 4.9 rating

--newbies will well-filled out profiles are welcome (please PM if you have questions about this)

~~~
Keep in mind: if you are thinking of sending an oddly shaped item you may need to go inside the USPS to get the right postage. The postal employee may see your secret.
PLEASE BE COURTEOUS and do no reveal your partner's secret in the rating comments when rating. Be inconspicuous with your comment. If you want to talk about the secret you are rating please e-mail or PM your partner.
