This month's tag alcohol, may be less known, but I think should be a really creative one for all of you. It's absinthe! Never heard of it? What is it? It's a high proof, distilled spirit with an anise flavor. It's also know as the Green Fairy, Green Goddess or the Green Muse. Absinthe originated in Switzerland in the late 18th century. It arose to great popularity as an alcoholic drink in late 19th- and early 20th-century France, particularly among Parisian artists and writers. . Ernest Hemingway, Charles Baudelaire, Paul Verlaine, Arthur Rimbaud, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Amedeo Modigliani, Vincent van Gogh, Oscar Wilde, Aleister Crowley and Alfred Jarry were all known absinthe drinkers. FUN STUFF:One tag to one partner. I'm not going to list the requirements, as this is an on-going series, and you all know the rules:) Any questions, just send me a pm! NOT SO FUN STUFF: Send on time and rate fairly! |
