Open Theme 'Create a Scene' 250 ct Diorama MB

I'm new to this style of MB so I hope you all enjoy the idea and sign up!

Make a diorama using the drawer of a 250 ct matchbox or build your own, they are 5.5 x3". To keep mailing costs low so this can be international, cut the drawer down to 1/2-5/8" deep. In Canada at least, anything under 20mm (just over 3/4") mails for cheaper. Then either cut down or create a new sleeve portion for this MB. I can provide a template to anyone who'd like it.

Inside the drawer, the diorama should be of some sort of scene. Whatever you like. Maybe a room in a house, a landscape, store, underwater or even a fantasy scene. You can create in landscape or portrait.

Elements do not have to be in proportion to each other. It can be whimsical and fun! Try to think of fun ways to get different layers of dimension placing things at different depths and heights. Try hanging things from the top- roof, ceiling or sky. Elements can stick out or pop up too. Make sure the sleeve fits but as you are altering or making it custom, there is some leeway there.

Then decorate the sleeve to match. It should look pretty when left partially but mostly open so, for example, if your drawer should be viewed landscape style, make your sleeve match.

This doesn't have to be filled to the top but include a few small items for your partner. They don't have to be place in or fit in the box.

*If you use rubber stamping, please stamp cleanly; missed areas, smudges or double lines are not acceptable.

*Please check your partner's profile and avoid dislikes both in colour and theme. You may make this profile based if you wish.

*Please no computer generated images unless they are very high quality. No magazine cut outs.

*Please make a beautiful MB you are proud of and would be thrilled to receive.

*The MB must include a total of at least 3 layers and/or embellishments both inside and out. You must use all quality craft supplies. No cheap junk.

*Make sure your work is clean and precise. No glue should show and straight cuts need to be straight. Colouring needs to look adult, not like a child did it. Please don't be discouraged by these rules. I am only referring to general tidy work, not tiny flaws.

*Please ship with care. A bubble mailer isn't enough unless your box is quite sturdy. See the forums for a cheap and easy shipping suggestion that cuts down on mailing costs too!

*Please have a 4.97+ rating to join and no 1's EVER or 3's in the last 6 months. I will accept explanations of course, PM me ahead of the sign up deadline. If you see a flaker has joined, don't worry, I will weed them out but there shouldn't be any on a group like this! If you are really worried, give me a heads up! I’ve been flaked on so many times, I've stopped keeping track, so I get it!
