Here are some examples: As a bonus, ARt Doll Quarterly is also looking for Bride dolls. Maybe you can make one for your partner and one to submit to Art Doll Quarterly. ;) ADQ Bride Doll Challenge "To have and to hold, from this day forward …" Who doesn’t love a beautiful bride? Bride dolls have long been a favorite among doll artists and collectors, and when we saw Norma Prickett’s lovely Lakota Sioux Bride, “White Buffalo,†(Autumn, 2012, page 101) we knew we had to put out a call for more brides. From elegant to funky, sculpted to mixed-media to cloth to paper, we’d like to see your rendition of a bride doll. Whether you create a bride that is traditional, historical, whimsical, or goth … we know you’ll come up with something fantastic! Send your doll to us at Art Doll Quarterly, Tospy-Turvy Challenge, 22992 Mill Creek, Suite B, Laguna Hills, CA 92653 or email hi-res images to artdollquarterly@stampington.com showing both views for publication consideration in the Summer 2013 issue. Deadline: December 15, 2012. Have fun!! |
