♥ Artist Postcards ~ Series 1 ♥

Happy New Year Craft Lovers!!

For this swap, we will create a set of "artist" postcards for each of 2 partners. What are artist postcards? They are whatever the artist creating them wants! Your postcards can be hand-drawn, zentangled, stamped, painted, collage, riso-printed, sewn, screen-printed or whatever your chosen/favorite medium is.

iHanna has some great ideas/inspiration here.

The postcards must have some theme that 'connects' them, or makes them a set. You do not have to send the same set to both partners, but its okay of you do.

Swap guidelines:

• themed set of 3 (or more, if you want) artist postcards to each of 2 partners
• cards must be standard postcard size (no smaller than 3.5x5 inches, no larger than 4x6 inches) AND all postcards in each set must be the same size (you can make a 3.5x5 set for 1 of your partners & a 4x6 set for the other if you choose)
• cards must be handmade/altered/decorated by you in your chosen medium(s). Stickers may be used, but that cannot be all - no "sticker-slapping" and not just 'scrap-booked'!
• vintage collage pieces are okay; please use a good sealant if doing collage cards
• postcards to be sent blank, in an envelope - these cards are for your partner to use or collect
• backside of cards should be clean and have room to write on, stamp & address (you do not have to put address lines, but you may)

It might be easier to think of a theme/style you want to do and then create the cards from there. I'm requiring only 3 cards for each partner so the swap doesn't seem too daunting. If its successful and there is interest, we'll continue the series. Think of all the beautiful handmade postcards you'll collect!

These are meant to be quality artist cards, so if you do not feel you can put some time and effort into them, please don't join. Usual group rules apply & I'll check profiles before assigning partners.
