The second swap in the Garden Series Chunky Book Page Swap. We will be swapping 4.5"x4" Quote Chunky Pages with a Garden Critter theme in quote and design think birds, snails, butterflies, fairies, bees, gnomes, frogs, catepillar, ladybugs, dragonflies, etc. Because to me a book is not a book without words, please at least put a related word on your page, like "fly", "Soar", "songbird" etc, you can do a full quote or poem if you like but if not at least do a small phrase or word. I will leave it up to you on this one. For Example: "According to the laws of aerodynamics the bummble bee cannot fly..I guess no one bothered to tell the bee." Unknown Please leave the extra half inch to your left side free of embellishments to make it easier to bind. The back does not have to be as decorated as the front but must include your username and any other information you want to give regarding your page. Please make your page "chunky"...that is what makes these books special. Use lots of ribbons, fibers, charms, buttons, brads etc..the more the better! You can be a beginner to making chunky books as I am but you must have experience in scrapbooking or cardmaking to join this swap. Use a high quality sturdy cardstock, but not chipboard. Rating: 4.9 No recent ones, if its one that is from someone international that rated too soon, that can be worked out, just let me know. Partners: 5 You make 6 pages, keep one for yourself. 6 actual originals, no photocopies. International Since this can be mailed in a fairly small envelope, I think the postage would be reasonable for overseas. Please do your best work and send something you are proud of, also you must rate your partner in a timely manner. I reserve the right to ban as I see fit in the best interest of the other swappers, like if at time partners are assigned you have any swaps past due you will be dropped from the swap. I'm confused, why only 5 pages this time. All other chunky book pages have been to 9 partners plus 1 for yourself.

I choose 5 partners this time as I am going to host a third swap in this series with 9 partners, a floral design swap. I thought it would not be as overwhelming and more people could join if we had a swap inbetween the two larger ones with less partners. You will end up with 26 pages to bind together, I thought that would be a nice number to end up with.

I would love to get pages with butterflies, bees, dragonflies, etc. No birds as I already have a lot of pages with birds. They are all wonderful but I would like variety when the book is finished. :)

While I can promise you will get a butterfly from me on this round, I can't say what the others will send. Its artist choice of course!

Yes, nine pages does intimidate beginners. I have been practicing and I am ready to go. Thank you for making this less pages. It is the time that is put into these art pages that does not allow for my other obligations, by cutting back I can do both. Thanks again.

Great, jstubbs! Actually the previous swap I hosted was my first Chunky page swap ever so I am a beginner too! That is why I never joined the swaps I was interested in for so long as I was scared but when I realized you come up with a design then just cut everything out times 10 it wasn't too bad!

I put my page in the gallery but it came out sooooooooooooooo big. What do I do wrong. Also sent my pages out today.

I did frogs with a Kermit quote "It's not easy being green!"
