Description:

For this swap, we will be making one postcard for one partner using nothing but rubber stamps. My collection of stamps isn't huge, but I just got some new inks and thought this would be a fun way to play. Join in and show us your stamps!

Directions:

  • Get a piece of heavy-weight paper to use as your base - something such as heavy-weight card stock, watercolor paper, or even recycled cardboard packaging. The size and shape of the base is sender's choice.

  • Use at least 5 different stamps and stamp in at least 3 different colors. The stamps can be rubber, acrylic cling, hand-carved, homemade, foam - even odd household objects that will leave a neat design. Stampings can be done in ink or paint. Go to town stamping your base; fill in the front and make it interesting. Create a scene or make it random.

  • When you're done with your postcard, send it naked and written on. Be sure that you use the proper postage for the size and shape of your card. Don't forget to reference the group & swap name on the message side of your card.

Have fun! Take stock of your supplies and make sure you can make your postcard to the specifications above before committing to this swap.. It'd be a dirty shame if you flaked, but I will angel should the need arise.

Note: I've set this up as a Type 2 swap as I feel it's not a very craft-intensive project. Though if the consensus is that it should be promoted to a Type 3, I will gladly change it.
