What about Turkey and Russia - Europe or Asia??? :)

Tinker60 03/21/2013 #

I think both Turkey and Russia are considered part of Europe although they both straddle the border with Asia. . .anyone else have any thoughts???

IrinaBG 03/21/2013 #

I think they could be considered either way but I want to be sure before I send.

I agree with Tinker60. Every map I've seen has both of those labelled as Asia.

OK. I'm in. :)

Actually, it depends on where in Turkey or Russia. You could have one card from western Russia or Turkey and it's Europe, to the east it's Asia. For example, Istanbul is in Europe. Cities on other side of the straits between the Black Sea and the Mediterranean are in Asia. The Urals and Caucasus Mountains are taken as the boundary to the north, between Europe and Asia.

I think as long as you send a note saying where you reason each place to be, it will be fine.
