Cookbooks!

Do you love cookbooks? Just to read even if you don't like to cook? I love them and I love the variety that is available. Imagining the things I could make, or getting ideas I can use for other things is so fun. Plus, I can't eat sweets for the nonce so books are fulfilling that wish for me right now!

In this swap, you will send your partner one new cookbook of your choice from their wish list and a postcard explaining your choice.

Please read all the requirements carefully. 1) to participate, you must have one or more links on your profile to wish lists on Amazon, Powells, Jessica's Biscuit or other bookstore. One link to a wish list is sufficient, but it must have several cookbooks on it, preferably in a range of prices. I am giving a month to sign up, so that is plenty of time for you to create a wish list and link it to your profile if you have not already.

2) when you get your partner, go and look at their profile for anything they say about cooking and then review their wish list. Purchase one or more books for them (you can buy the book anywhere as long as it is one that was on the wish list). Minimum spend $20 plus shipping.

3) include in the package, or send separately if you order from somewhere to ship direct, a postcard letting your partner know what attracted you to this particular book(s) on their list. Postcard is senders choice, but it is always nice to look at profiles for ideas that will make them happy.

If you send this yourself in the US, you can save shipping costs by sending media mail through the post office. You'll have to send the postcard separately as media mail allows only books or magazines in the package.

This is not required, but you might like to respond to the sender with a recipe from the book. It would be a fun way to share your experience with the book!

Eligibility: because this is an expensive swap requiring attention to detail, this one is not open to newbies. You must have at least ten type 3 swaps completed and rated, no 3s in the last six months and no 1s in the last year. Minimum rating 4.98. US only for this one, sorry, due to shipping cost. If there is interest in doing it internationally, comment or PM me and I will set up an international version.

To sum up: send your partner one or more cookbooks, spending a minimum of $20 plus shipping, from their wish lists and a postcard explaining your choices. You yourself must have a wish list on your profile with cookbook choices for your partner to select from.
