Description:

This swap is for things that we dont have to swap but would still like to receive. For example I love Stickers and Stationary but unfortunatly I don't have any right now.

How this will work is in the comment sections below we will post what kind of grabbie we would like. Please list 5-8 options for your partner to choose from. Than we wait to see who we have and what they want. Say I have a person who is asking for Random Paper goods grabbie, Than I would make a bunch of things for them like an atc or 3, than I would make them a few bookmarks and so on until the items I had for them met the below requirements. Or lets say some one wants some cheap make up you would buy a few and that would be that.

Swap Regulations: I would like you to fill a 6 x 9 envelope or if you feel generous a 8-1/2 x 11 Inch (bubble or regular depending on the items you are sending). There will not be a price limit on this one but please dont ask for an envelope of expensive items because chances are you will not get them. This will be for usa only (sorry). One swap partner. And please if you are new fill out your profile before joining my swap. If you are new and your profile is not filled out I will give you one day to do so and than I will ban you if it's not done on the 2nd day. Please also do not join if you have more than 2 unsent items in your feedback or a rating less than 3 I will ban you.

Here are a few things to ask for so you have some ideas: Paper goods grabbie (type exactly what you want in here) Cheap make up grabbie Craft supplies grabbie or if you really want a mysterie just say mysterie grabbie. Combination grabbies are also acceptable (such as half craft supplies and half paper goods grabbie). If you want you may send your partner a combination of the things they are asking for too. Glenn 12/14/2006 #

anything having to do with:

1- hot air balloons 2- trains 3- small planes 4- whales (excluding orcas please) 5- freight ships
6- dinosaurs 7-ATCs

or hopefully a combination of these things! Basically just anything having to do with one or more of these things (for example a photo of a train or a cup with a whale on it or a sheet of hot air balloon stickers etc) thank you!

oh oh and PS: if you make ATCs and have any or feel like making any with the above objects on them that'd be awesomeeee

user3287 12/14/2006 #

I am soooo sorry! USA only?...OK. Maybe another time.... All I would have whised for, is a small envelope of motif-laces...

keroleen73 12/14/2006 #

I agree with you there, Nina. It's not like posting paper goods and craft supplies cost a lot sending via airmail. Maybe you'd like to organise a similar swap for us Europeans?

lgj302 12/14/2006 #

This is a neat idea! I'd like pretty napkins (1 or 2 or more of a design), pretty tissue paper, any assorted nice papers. Thank you!

funkykchicken 12/14/2006 #

Just for some info(for international) you can send the large global priority envelope for $9.00..Thats not much more of a stretch then what you will be paying for US shipping.

Sioux 12/14/2006 #

I don't see an answer...is it international or not??

sweetxjosephine 12/14/2006 #

A) You should probably change the date to January 4, 2007. It's 2006 right now and shows up in my completed swaps instead of current...

B) to my dear partner: I'd like a combination grabbie... specifically literary zines - i love/collect them and would love more. Anything retro, anything neon; paper goods, old novels, old photos, postcards, notes, candy (not chocolate)... Anything in my profile would be amazing (or anything that reminds you of something in my profile).

C) I'm excited to put this together for a partner.

MissKoolAid 12/14/2006 #

If anyone creates it International, I'm in. We Canadians are considered International by our neighbours south of the border.

user5093 12/16/2006 #

It's not only for paper goods thoughit is for anything anyone wants and there are alot of people who cant afford an extra $9.00 to ship global. If some one would like to start one that is international go ahead. I would have loved to make it for everyone but since this is one of my first swaps im trying to keep prices low. Sorry all international people. Please for those who have signed up dont forget to fill out what you would like. Thank you all.

lgj302 12/20/2006 #

I also (see above for my list of wants) collect ATC's, 4 x 4's, and mini trading cards if whoever gets me wants to make something.

Lunaria 12/20/2006 #

I would LOVE 1. Jewelry making/ beading supplies, such as beads (especially glass); findings of any sort(except for headpins and eyepins, I have lots of those); cording like skinny leather, buna, softglass, even short scraps of 6" and up are fine; other kinds of stringing material;crimp beads; AND instructions for putting stuff together, as I'm still a novice at using clasps, attaching jump rings, finishing ends, etc. ( Whew, that was a lot to ask for, sure don't expect all of it!) 2. Rubber stamps, embossing powders, pigment inks, alcohol inks. the items themselves or something made from stamping . 3. ANYTHING polymer clay 4. Handmade greeting cards 5. Asian inspired decos/embellishments

O boy o boy this will be even better than my birthday ( Dec 21) and holiday presents!

lgj302 12/21/2006 #

Hey, everyone...I have recived my swap partner, but she hasn't posted any wants here!! Indiana aka weirdindy, where are you???

simindy 12/21/2006 #

I would love either:

1) Paper goods (I love stickers; pretty paper; envelopes; ATC's; I'm a big reader, so anything to do with books; little tiny notebooks; bookplates; scraps of whatever) 2) Candy Grabbie (I am a candy fanatic, so actual candy or items with candy decorations would be awesome) 3)Turquoise and red Grabbie (anything red and turquoise, I love the color combination) 4) Owls (anything to do with owls would be fab) 5) pin cushion and pins grabbie (I love making pin cushions, so maybe tiny cuts of cute fabrics, pins, shrinky dinks, thread, needles, etc.) 6)Art grabbie (any personal artwork, materials for making art, ATCs, etc) 7) Farm Animals (anything with cute farm animals on it) 8) Sewing (I sew ALOT, so any small scraps of fabric, your favorite pattern printed out, cute things with sewing themes) 9) Embroidery (thread, patterns, needles, etc)

simindy 12/21/2006 #

Also, sorry it took so long Laura :) Happy swapping!

simindy 12/21/2006 #

Hello again, just wanted to know if Connie would post a likes list--I'm OK with just going off of your profile if you'd like, but I really want to put together a package of things you really enjoy :)

Glenn 12/21/2006 #

Laura, I actually don't make 4x4s or ATCs so if you want to put down some more options along with nice napkins and nice tissue go ahead!

lgj302 12/21/2006 #

Thank you, Indiana, I appreciate it. Now the fun begins...!

SouthernXpacific - (I feel strange calling you that), I thought of a few more possibilities - old photos, old postcards, beads, any type of collage images. Thanks.

user4890 12/21/2006 #

ae4me 12/24/2006 #

OH My... I am sorry for not posting this sooner. I have been thinking... Elephants any and all!! Bookmarks, Embelishments, small things, buttons, writing pens (that dont skip) Pack-o-fun little old craft magazine, salishan misson booklets, well thats something I hope :) connie

Glenn 12/25/2006 #

laura ( you can call me carissa if that's better! haha) thanks so much, those will be much more do-able for me :)

ae4me 01/ 6/2007 #

Oh my I just found out a something I do not have.... and perhaps if not to late it could be a something you have... a Zine not a one:(

Glenn 01/ 7/2007 #

I will be so bummed if the user "Nothing" was the person supposed to send to me. Looking at their ratings, it seems like they probably won't send out anything. I am really really looking forward to receiving something in this swap.. whoever is my partner will you post here just so I know who it is?? Thank you!!!

lgj302 01/ 8/2007 #

Carissa - I noticed that person in the participants, too, and was feeling sorry for whoever the partner is. Sometimes I think maybe this swapping would work better if we had each other. What I mean is you had me, so I'd have you. Seems like it might keep people more honest, I don't know. If you don't get anything, I will at least send you some ATCs!

Glenn 01/10/2007 #

thank you laura! Yeah, it's frustrating to not get anything. I know sometimes things come up and it happens, but it seems like some people are just trying to get as many goodies as possible without putting fourth any effort themselves. anyway! your grabbie went out today :)

Janetburns 01/11/2007 #

Nothing, I just received back the package that I sent you on 12/27/06? Says no such address. Please sent your correct address so I can re-mail. This is what I have for address, Null Void, 1234 Nothing, Nowhere, MI 48066. This is what swap-bot has for your address???? Thanks, Janet

Lunaria 01/12/2007 #

SouthernXpacific, not to worry, you'll get a package from me. Sometimes I'm late, but I ALWAYS send.

ae4me 01/13/2007 #

Janet, I am prety sure nothing is just a farce The address sounds sort of phony too. She was my swap person for
Crafty piggies christmas exchange for so few persons in the swap and having it only the US it was pretty upseting. I'm going to try and notice from now on so she will be out of all the many swaps we do. connie

Janetburns 01/13/2007 #

Connie, Thanks for responding....I too thought it was a farce and checked the sign ups etc. Did email her? when I got the package back and that came back unknown also. Now what? That is pretty lousy--wonder who gets from nothing? I have the package done and could send to that person? Hope I don't get a bad rating from nothing if this be the case that it is a farce??? Please advise, Thanks, Janet

lgj302 01/13/2007 #

Carissa - Got my grabbie today. Thanks for the nice paper, neat postcards, and photos (great altering possibilities).

user5093 01/14/2007 #

I change the date to the 22nd because i noticed half of us don't have our things out yet. Sorry.

ae4me 01/14/2007 #

Janet, Was the package you recieved back from this swap? Oh well it doesn't matter cuz whay you can do is what I did in the journal swap and that was ask the swap coordinator who my ? unswapper was to swap to and they gave me the persons address so they could recieve a swap. Just let them know not to leave a rating for you as it will go to nothing but it would be nice if they left a responce in the comments on the swap page. good luck, connie

Janetburns 01/15/2007 #

Thanks Connie, Janet

Janetburns 01/18/2007 #

Connie, the package back from nothing was this group. Also received your package today.........thank you.....it was ripped open and taped and stamped by the po as damaged.......they are not my favorite people esp as you sent it priority....there were papers, [love the velum btw], paints and a nice letter from you on pink paper.... Thanks, Janet

ae4me 01/19/2007 #

Janet, Glad you got it... and I really agree with not being fond of the postoffice.... It seems like the service is so shabby and they have no respect for our things I cant even count how many packages have been dammaged by them. Connie

simindy 01/23/2007 #

Hey Connie, I used the automatic teller tonight at the post office, so your package should be heading out to you tomorrow morning. I so hope you love it!

user5093 02/ 5/2007 #
