Description:

This is my first time hosting a swap, so please hang in there with me. :)

It's summer time! Time to sit by the pool and watch the kids. Read a good book and drink some great ice tea.

In this swap you will have 1 partener in which you will send one handmade bookmark and one bag of tea to make iced tea with. (one tea bag, not an entire bag of tea)

Please take time in making your bookmarks. In the comment section I want you to name your favorite genre of book and your partner will create a marker with that theme. For me I love sappy, gothic romance. So my partner would create a marker that reflects that--hearts, kisses, etc.

Also please list any dislikes or allergies for the tea.

I think that's it. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

This is open to newbies and anyone with a 4.5 or better and a complete profile. Please be mindful of the due date and no flakers. I will angel for this swap so everyone will receive their items.

Let's have fun and welcome a summer full of reading!!!

I love romance novels written by Jude Deveraux. Those set in the middle ages. I also enjoy the Janet Evanovich "Stephanie Plum" series. I have a ton of green tea, so anything other than that would be great.

Lunaria 06/ 1/2008 #

Fun idea! My favorite books are about other cultures, lately I have been reading a lot of novels and memoirs set in China and India. I'm also a Stephanie Plum fan!

As for tea, I don't like rooibos, honeybush, caramel, or vanilla. Anything else is fine.

yarnigras 06/ 1/2008 #

Hmmm. I like mystery, detective/crime mystery, some sci-fi. As for tea, I can only have DECAF. I like fruity teas...peach, tangerine, etc.

eamsish 06/ 1/2008 #

I like any kind of book, but especially mysteries :) And I like all tea--I think this is a lovely idea.

Hello! What a fun swap :) The only teas I really dislike are licorice and strong minty flavors.

As for books, I like books about the paranormal, Stephen King, young adult - especially fantasy (faeries, monsters, ghosts, witches, vampires...etc). I love the Harry Potter series, Inkheart/Inkspell, Gregor the Overlander, Spiderwick Chronicles, Alice in Wonderland, things like that :)

KTGreg30 06/ 2/2008 #

I read all types of stuff - but I guess I really like crime, mystery and sci-fi fantasy stuff. I really loved all the Harry Potter books, The Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings, and I am about to start on all the Chronicles of Narnia books.

As for teas, I am not picky but I do enjoy fruit teas.

LucyJane 06/ 2/2008 #

I like pretty much all teas!

As far as book genres are concerned probably my favourites are Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Adventure (olde worlde - Carter Beats the Devil, Jules Verne etc.) and travel

tlblake 06/ 2/2008 #

I like Dean Koontz, Stephen King, paranormal and mysteries, no Harry Potter for me!

I love fruit flavored teas for iced teas.

Dooped 06/ 2/2008 #

I love modern fairy tales and funky stories about interesting characters. My favorite authors are Francesca Lia Block, Chuck Palahniuk, Jonathan Saffron Foyer and Kurt Vonnegut.

As for tea, I lovelovelove warm, nutty flavors like almond and vanilla, but I'm also a huge fan of soft mints and fruity flavors. The only teas I don't like are chamomile and lavender - yuck!

This is such a great idea for a swap - I can't wait to start!

I really enjoy Chick Lit and Historical novels. I really like black tea or fruit flavored teas in the summer! I do not like mint tea.

KellyGirlKnits 06/ 4/2008 #

I enjoy anything and everything horror. I also enjoy Chick Lit, Fantasy, and Young Adult.

As for tea I am pretty easy going. I usually like fruity flavors. Vanilla is also a favorite.

I read a lot of spiritual/religious works for my classes so anything with a Christian motif would be fine. But, for fun I like murder mysteries so something with the whodunit theme would be great, too. I'm a breast cancer survivor, so the pink ribbon theme or some other cancer awareness motif would be fitting, as well.

I'm not a tea expert, but the doctor thinks I should have decaf :( so I suppose I should stick with that. I drink a lot of just plain black iced tea in the summer, but enjoy the flavored stuff in the winter. If the caffiene stuff comes through my 20 year old son will adopt it. Knittinglikecrazy

Hey everyone! Really looking forward to this swap. I love cookbooks and read some like novels. Also like knitting stories - sappy harmless tales usually with knitters at the base. For tea, I love orange-spice and berry flavors. No licorice please.

Godforevermore 06/ 6/2008 #

I read my Bible daily and enjoy Christian novels. I love all kinds of tea but favor fruit flavored like raspberry, peach something fun!

Krazyquilts 06/ 7/2008 #

I read mostly fantasy and science fiction (Lord of the Rings is my favorite), though I also like some historical fiction (like The Other Boleyn Girl).

I really like white tea, but green teas and fruity teas are also good. (No plain green tea, please, I have lots.) My husband, who also drinks tea, is always wanting to try unusual teas so really, anything interesting would be wonderful.

hippofairy 06/ 8/2008 #

i love Harry Potter and Neil Gaimen books. i'm also reading the Inheritance cycle (Eragon & Eldest so far) and love classics, like Frankenstein and Brave New World. so pretty much any genre except biographies and romance novels... since i like children's and teen books, scifi/fantasy, classic, and cooking!

and i love teas, especially fruity ones... if you think it would make a great iced tea, i'm happy.

Lostgirl417 06/ 8/2008 #

This will be my first swap...I'm very excited!! I enjoy Christian study and I am into cancer awareness, I have never had cancer but lots of family members have!

As for tea, anything decaf!
