Description:

Now many of us, use paper towels to paint on, and use these pieces to add to projects but Ken Delmar has taken it to a new level. Ken Delmar makes his works of art on paper towels, then mounts them to foam board, and is currently selling his work between $8,000-$10,000 each.

So, this month, let's try to make our very own paper towel painting for our one partner. You can use any kind of paper towel, any size, and any paint medium....so get creative and have fun. I would ask that you support your painting when mailing it in someway. Cardboard, plastic, notecard, etc.

And another step beyond with using paper towels to create art - paper towels can be glued - in layers over a wire armature. The surface of the layers of paper towel painted with white gesso & sanded until smooth - Amazing - it looks like porcelain after being covered with a coat of gloss varnish!
What other uses of kitchen items to make incredible art?
I use freezer paper to make marbled background for ATC's.

I've been wanting a marbled paper swap....any chance you'd be willing to host it sometime? I typically use shaving cream, but love trying new processes.
