Based on an idea from @courtmm11 - thank you for letting me use it! So often, we read bad news in the paper or hear it in television… but not all news is bad news! Find a newspaper article from a local newspaper that gives some positive news, clip it, and send it to your partner! If the article is in a language that your partner doesn’t speak, please include a translation into one they do. “Local” ideally means a newspaper that your partner couldn’t easily buy. Best would be a newspaper from your own town, but if your partner lives further away, then a regional or even nationwide paper could count as “local”. Positive news could be someone marrying, a recreation centre for youth being built, a new company moving in creating work for the community, or anything you consider positive! Sender’s choice in this :) Once you’ve found some good news, cut the article out and send it in an envelope (with translation, if appropriate), and that’s pretty much it! Any questions, please PM me. | |
