Description:

One of my favourite things about receiving postcards is hearing something about the sender, which is what inspired me to create this swap.

Here's the idea: for each swap, I will provide a writing prompt or idea, which you will consider when sending your postcard to your swap partner. This prompt might bring up a memory, a feeling or even a conversation that you overheard today in the grocery store. You're free to write as much or as little as you like, as long as it in some way relates to the prompt.

This months prompt: Do you have (or practice) any superstitions? This might range from so-called "old wives tales" (dropping a fork indicates that a strange man will come calling) to something like throwing spilled salt over your shoulder-- maybe there are unique superstitions that are present in the culture that you belong to that you can share with your swap partner? Even if you are not superstitious yourself, you probably know some curious examples that you might like to share. :)

Postcards should be chosen with consideration towards the receivers preferences; whether you send your cards naked (without an envelope) or in an envelope is completely up to the sender.

I will be checking participants profiles and ratings thoroughly before assigning partners; please note that if you are currently showing as late on any swaps I will request that you follow through on those before participating in this swap. Similarly, if you have a 1 rating and have not made an effort to follow through on the swap owing to your partner (especially if they are still an active member of the site), I will likely ask that you do this before participating in any of my swaps.

Newbies are welcome on a fairly selective basis. Please have a well filled out profile (with a nice listing of your likes as well as a self introduction) and consider joining the Newbie Helpers group. If I see both of these things when I'm checking your profile, you're in.

I do angel all of my swaps, although I will make every possible effort to ensure that my swaps remain flaker-free.
