Description:

This swap should be a fun, but not too difficult, challenge. You will have to create a pinterest board and pin at least 15 things to it in the theme of the fairy tale for the current round. The theme for this round is Little Red Riding Hood. You will have 3 partners and you will need to send them a link to your board through the swap-bot message system, so that we don't have any problems with lost emails.

Here are links to some different versions of Little Red Riding Hood. You may use one, none, or all of them as inspiration. Or feel free to create your own sort of version such as gothic, steampunk, kawaii, modern etc

I plan to do a series of fairy tale pinterest swaps with a different fairy tale each time. If there are any specific ones you'd be excited to do please comment below or PM me and I will put the requested ones at the top of my list. You may also post below or PM me with any questions about the swap :)

If you want to keep all of your fairy tale challenges on one board, so you don't have make a gazillion boards, that is perfectly fine. However, each time we do a challenge the pins for that specific challenge should be together in a cluster, they should be labeled with the fair tale, and there should not be any random pins in between them that don't go with the current fairy tale. If done properly the most current round will end up being the pins at the top of your board and your partner won't have to search for them :)

Question... would it be possible for me to make a fairy tale board and then make sure there were enough pins for that specific fairy tale on the board, rather than making a new board for each round? Or would that be too difficult for my partners?

I think that would get a bit muddled. If you were willing to label each pin with the title of the tale, so it was clear, then it would be all right. As long as there is some easy way to tell where one story ends and another begins.

The more I think on it, I may do that too so that I don't end up with a million boards :) Good idea @KateKintail

I've edited the swap to include the idea of keeping them all on one board :)

@piratecaptainmo Thank you! I will make sure to clearly label them and I'll add them all together in a cluster each time.

One quick follow-up to make sure I get this right. We're pinning things to create our own version of the fairy tale? We're not pinning things that were specifically created for that fairy tale (like an art piece about Little Red Riding Hood). Is that correct? Or would both of those types of things count?

Either way is fine, I wanted to leave it up to each person to do it however they feel will be more fun for them. So you can do either or a mix of both. For example, I started my board and I've pinned a lovely red cloak, I've also pinned a pair of red shoes that she might have worn with it. But you may choose to do pins that are a collection of different artists representations of the story. Or some other take on the assignment all together. You can put an explanation of why you pinned each thing, in it's comments, but you certainly don't have to :)

@piratecaptainmo That makes total sense. Excellent. I just wanted to be sure I was following the guidelines. Thanks for the explanation! :-) I can't wait to see what people come up with!
