For this swap we will create 1 collage for 1 partner that is 4 x 4 inches in size. The theme will be SUMMER. I've seen these 4 x 4 inch cards called artist tiles so call it what you want. This is sender's choice but with consideration. What says summer to you? I think of carnivals and clowns but not everyone digs those - so don't send someone clowns if they're allergic to them. Create something wonderful and become part of a fabulous collaborative book. Consider signing your 4 x 4 inch square on the front as that the back will likely be glued to a backing later on. This is the 2nd of 4 swaps of this type that will eventually be used to create a little accordion folded book of SEASONS. You can join the swap whether you want to create the book or not. You can create any kind of book you want. Mine will be like this Accordion fold book. So, if our collages are 4 x 4 inches, then the scrapbook card stock could be cut and folded slightly larger to create that framed look. Here's the accordion fold book with covers scrapbook style keepin' it easy! Oooh. This one is nice and simple too Here's a tentative schedule of events. Page 1: Spring (April) I apologize to our southern hemisphere friends. I realize your seasons are opposite mine but in the end, you'll still have nice 4 x 4 inch paper tiles to create an accordion book - so consider joining. Did you miss the SPRING swap? We have a forum discussion thread for anyone who misses one of these swaps. "I want more partners" - feel free to hook up with each other there to organize your own exchanges related to this swap or others. Image from Michelle Michael at Flickr (I think this example is digital but it's so fun I felt like sharing it anyway - remember ours is paper). EDIT: Remember, send by the send date or contact your partner if you're going to be late. In addition, if the send by date falls on a date when your post office isn't open or you are away - try sending earlier than the send by date. |
