I hosted a swap a few years ago called Collaged Paper Hearts. People seemed to enjoy it and so I started thinking that it might be fun to do it again, only this time, with using different washi tapes rather than different papers. Thus, you will start with a piece of paper (any color/weight will do) and randomly stick down different washi tapes to it, overlapping the edges as you go. The idea here is not to worry about planning – just have fun with random tapes. They can go every which way. After you have completed this step, turn your paper over so you can't see the covered side. [No peeking!]. Draw a heart or several hearts on it and cut it/them out. Turn it/them over and see how pretty it/they look with the collaged tapes you chose. It's kind of like a surprise – you never know what you're going to get. Now, take one of the hearts (or several) and use them to either make a card for your partner, or glue them onto a sheet of paper for a letter. Finally, on your card or your letter, write a nice note to your partner. This is a very easy swap and I hope lots will come out & play! | |
