Okay, this is my first time hosting a swap, so I thought I'd keep it simple. However if you know me you'd know simple I am not (lol). (For those of you who are hosting veterans please bear with me and if I forgot something feel free to contact me and I'll fix asap. ) So with Christmas right around the corner my thoughts turn to the meaning of Christmas, the birth of Jesus Christ, Family and yes Food. I mean who doesn't like food right! And making Cards... ok lets get to business. So for this swap I thought we would make a beautiful Handmade Christmas Card and a Recipe Card for our partner. The Handmade Christmas Card should be no smaller than (4.25 x 5.5) with an envelope and should be left blank so that your partner can use it in the future. The card needs to be of good quality, made from good quality cardstock and or pattern paper for layering along with time and attention put into it to make it a good quality handmade card. It should not just be printed on a piece of paper and folded in half or a folded piece of paper with a sentiment written on it or a folded piece of cardstock with stickers stuck on it etc. Use of rubber stamped images, die cuts, ribbon, brads, glitter, buttons, other embellishments and or other crafting techniques to create your cards are a few examples of what you can use but not limited too. Please make it the same quality that you would like to receive and remember its senders choice. The Recipe Card can be neatly hand written on store bought recipe card or printed on a computer generated recipe card or a handmade recipe card that you make and embellish in some way. Just keep in mind if you make the recipe card yourself or print it to use quality cardstock . This is completely senders choice. But bear in mind though this is senders choice please note your partners food dislike and possible allergies. The key to the recipe card is neatness to ensure your partner can read it. Please note because this is a group swap, if you receive a Handmade Card and a Recipe Card, please rate a 5, even if you don't like the card and recipe (Sure that goes without saying, though!) . Hope you all love this swap and have fun with it. If you have any questions feel free to ask and I'll try to answer it. (This swap is a bit similar to one hosted by @crystalite in December of 2013) |
