Description: | |
Terry F kindly agreed to let me host this swap. A postalette is simply a letter that self-folds into an envelope for mailing (also known as a "fold and mail"). It features a folding flap that can be sealed just like an envelope flap. Some postalettes seal on both sides as well. You can also seal them yourself using washi tape, so that they can be carefully opened without ripping. The inside is blank for writing. When folded and sealed, they can measure the same a any mailable size envelope. Inexpensive to mail. For this swap, take a postalette that is either purchased or handmade (by you or by someone else), and include a note about anything related to the month of February. . If you are making your own postalette for the first time, an easy way is to write your note on a sheet of letter size (or A4) paper that is not too flimsy. Scrap book paper with a pretty pattern on one side works well. With the writing on the inside (make sure to leave adequate margins for sealing later), fold it into thirds. Seal it along both short sides as well as across the outside "flap", add the address and a stamp to the "front" side (without the "flap"), and mail it off. OR You can print a postalette from online sites such as this one. Postalette template OR You can print an envelope template on patterned paper and write your note on the plain side before you glue it all together. (Don't forget to write inside the folds.) Any questions or concerns? Please pm me as I don't check my swaps every day. . Have fun! |
