Mark Dr. Seuss’s 100th Birthday, Mar 2, 2015 Better known to most readers as Dr. Seuss, Dr. Theodor Geisel was born over 100 years ago. He's known for creating rhyming stories that used simple, mostly monosyllabic words that readers could readily comprehend. His use of the patterned, rhyming text has become the foundation for many controlled-vocabulary texts for young readers. Adults enjoy and relate to them also. Let's send a postcard to 3 partners with a few lines from a Dr. Seuss book that you love. Cards can be storebought or nice, homemade. Participants will be reviewed for questionable behavior and may be dropped at the discretion of the host. EDIT 2-16: I will angel for this swap but I think we have a great group! EDIT 2/19.A member asked if card was to be sent naked or in an envie. I advise going with the receivers' preference in their profile, if they have one. Otherwise sender's choice. Please don't mark down in your rating in that case. |
