Here's our next pocket letter swap! If you participated in the first hopefully you will have enjoyed it enough to participate in another one! The theme for this one is: It's Spring! You'll be filling 8 of the 9 pockets with All Things Spring. Flowers . . . warmer weather . . . birds . . . anything you choose. The 9th pocket will contain a note to your partner describing the contents of the 8 filled pockets. Unfamiliar with pocket letters? to see a tutorial by the inventor. A pocket letter basically consists of a 9-pocket plastic sheet (for storing baseball cards, etc), where each pocket is filled with something unique. When filled, fold the pocket letter in thirds, pop it into an envie and send! Spring brings flowers (how about flowered washi or flowered print ATC backgrounds?); the greening up of our landscapes (how about a packet of your favorite green tea?); birds singing outside your window (how about some bird diecuts for creating ATC's?); more yellow sunshine (a length of yellow ribbon?); maybe a packet of herb seeds? maybe some inspiration cards?. You get the idea . . . be creative and have fun! Since our group is based around a love of paper, lean towards including mostly paper items in the pockets. If you choose to decorate the pockets, don't overdo it--make certain you can see the goodie inside. Decorating the front and back plastic part of the pockets is NOT a requirement. I have found the baseball card pockets at Office Max and another swapper found them (cheaper . . . big surprise) @ Walmart. This is NOT meant to be a $$$ swap. . . don't run out and buy things to put in the 9 pockets--you'll already have the things you love! Any questions? Please pm me or leave a comment here. |
