Description: | |
Create a Junk Journal using a gutted old book, cereal boxes, use salvaged paper from grocery brown bags, to make a book which is 5x 7 in size, (you can have papers sticking out of it). Use your creativity and at least 30 pieces of ephemera. Have 25 full pages your partner can write in (lightly embellish these places). If your using brown paper bags for a page for your partner to write is that's fine -but please paint over the surface with gesso or a light color paint so the paper is not so dark and please"junk up" the edges. Make a Writing inspirational Junk Journal for your partner, (not profile based). You can bind your book with metal rings. Make sure to include some tabs, pockets, yarn, ribbon and or charms if your so inclined. Γ°ΕΈββΊ Make sure to save money by sending it uspsvia Media mail no matter how big book is for around $2.00!!!! Just wrap it in newspaper or bubble wrap and it will be fine!!! You must have done 30 level 3 swaps for this project to join. and be rated at least a 4.90. Any theme or make a variety of themes inside this journal, please include 40 pages -not front and back 40 physical pages. So if you put a pop tart box into the book and it's 5 x 7, it counts as 2 pages and a piece of ephemera!!! If you put a paper bag into it, it counts as 2 pages, same thing. I like to use big labels off of liters of soda, same thing, counts as 2 pages and ephemera as long as it's 5 x 7 inches.... Please know no one is expected to paint ALL pages, front or back, but be selective to what you compile, and if your partner paints or stamps 50 percent,..(20 pages)... that's great! Be sure to give a 5 at best to that person. You may use a old journal for the cover but please make the cover and back cover "junky." Up to 30% can be made of newer scrapbook paper if you choose but you must age it somehow with paint or inks or tea stain. Distress it, paint it using bubble wrap or something unusual, tape it, and add 30 pieces of "salvaged ephemera." Find the ephemera do not purchase or buy it. Some examples are fruit bags, cake boxes, paper bags, newspapers, old recycled cards, burlap, fabric, toy boxes from Easter... I am giving over one month for this swap have fun and please make something you would be happy to receive. You must include a note with this swap describing the techniques you have used on your pages and covers. |
