Ever seen a hexaminizine or hexaminibook? Me, neither, until the other week. Suddenly, I am finding several types of hexagon-shaped little books and zines. Here are some choice examples: Created by a language teacher, all pages open to center A couple different ways of joining hexagons ... Could you possibly make a hexabook out of fabric? Hmm... If you send a handle, your recipient could turn this hexagon based flower into a little basket ... Send your project in a hexagon shaped envelope if you are adventurous ... Another hexagon envelope, much simpler! And another tutorial for an origami envelope. Or, alternatively, fold your work up in a larger fold-in minizine style above. If you make a thicker or dimensionally embellished hexaminibook, you might want to send it in a padded envelope, of course. In short, use your creative effort and cool skills to make one hexagon-shaped minizine or minibook for one partner. Send it, hexagonal envelope encouraged but not absolutely required if it does not suit your minizine or minibook. Sit back and appreciate the amazing zig-zagginess of the hexagon! Please be zig-zaggily cool, and communicate with partners -- I will hexagon any unsent swaps. |
