QnT 2015 12 Stars, 2 colors USA November 11-4-15 thru 11-30-15 This month our star block is “Pnwheel Star†-- one partner -- one star quilt block each month -- 2 colors = White and recipient’s choice of one base color. Example: red prints, or blue prints, or green prints, etc. -- All of the blocks in this series will be beginner level so everyone can participate! November Pinwheel Star Note: Keep in mind that the tutorials are for multi-colored stars but we will be using white and one other color. HOWEVER, you may use more than one print in recipients color choice in your stars. Example: You may want to use white as your background for the block and two different red prints for the actual star. Use your imagination and have fun with these blocks. Senders will make one 12 ½†star quilt block for recipients in white and recipients color choice as posted in comments below. (Finished star blocks will be 12†when assembled in a project.) Each month we will make a different star quilt block for a total of 12 which we can use on individual projects or put together for one quilt. Doing your neatest work make one 12 ½†block for your partner using white (plain white, or tone-on-tone white) and any shades of the color they choose. If they want blue then use a print fabric that is mostly blue. The blue print you use may include other colors if they are very small and do not take away from the basic color blue. Keep in mind that the tutorials are for multi-colored fabrics and we are using two colors. Senders pick a basic color that would be easy for any partner to find either in their stash or at their favorite fabric shop. Here are the blocks we will be making in the future.
