Description:

Last year I ran this swap to celebrate Yule/the Winter Solstice etc. as an alternative for those who don’t celebrate a traditional Christmas (or for those who celebrate both!). We have a lot of new members so thought we would give it another go!

So, you will send your partner a small gift with a Natural World theme. Value of the gift should be approximately £5/$7. Handmade gifts of an appropriate standard are more than welcome. Please wrap your gift so your partner can open it on the Solstice.

Some ideas on what you could send;- notebook, pens, jewellery, washi tape, magnets etc. It can be made up of several smaller items, or one large.

Some ideas on themes;- Acorns, oak, holly, ivy, woodland creatures, mistletoe.

The solstice this year is celebrated on the 22nd December, so obviously you want to get your gift to your partner by then, so I am setting send by date as 23rd November. The gifts are senders choice, which means you can start shopping/creating straight away. If the gift you receive is not to your personal taste, then please still be kind to your partner and receive it with the spirit of the season in mind!

I should have asked this earlier - only just reading the description again properly before potentially joining! Should the gift itself be solstice themed (e.g. oak, holly, ivy etc), or is it any natural-world themed gift? I do like those themes (and it's totally cool if that's the rule), I just would be unlikely to be able to get a gift in them! Thank you for hosting this lovely series :)

@HelloWheeze - thank you for asking. The gift itself should be natural world themed. Hope this helps, and looking forward to swapping with you.

Thank you Zoe! I'm going to join on the assumption then that the ideas for themes you've suggested are just possible things we could send and/or draw on cards, but that a wintery theme is not necessary...? Sorry for being a paranoid double checker... I know I am! Looking foward too :)
