I am going to allow some options for this swap. On your ATC, you will rub on embossing ink (I used VersaMark) in several random places. Sprinkle on Extra Thick Embossing Powder. Here is one option if you do not have the extra thick powder. You can use regular embossing powder but, do it at least 2 times in the same spot. We are after texture. So, be sure not to over heat the embossing powder. If you have not used embossing powder before, here is a good place to try it. Rub embossing ink on your ATC. Immediately sprinkle on the embossing powder & tap off into a tray or on a piece of paper so you can put the excess back in the jar. Now use a heat tool to melt the embossing powder. You will see it melt. Remember for this swap you will have the embossing powder in random spots. The whole ATC is NOT covered. Now brush Gesso over the entire ATC. Gesso is just a surface prep that helps make the next step kind of "pop". Here is another option. If you do not have or want to purchase a bottle of Gesso, you can skip this step. When the Gesso is dry, paint over the entire ATC with Acrylic Paint. Let this dry & finish your art work any way you want. Just make sure some of the texture shows thru. The picture doesn't really show the texture from the Extra Thick Embossing Powder but it does look cool. I hope you try it. One partner will receive one ATC. |
