Description:

Yule~ Dec. 20-23 (varies according to the particular date on the standard calendar according to when the Solstice will occur astronomically). Longest night of the year, the turning point when the days shall afterwards grow longer as Winter begins its passage into the coming Spring. It is, in the Goddess worship, the time when she gives forth again to the birth of the Divine Sun child who shall be both child and eventually lover and father of the next child in the cycle. Winter Solstice for pagans is a time of feasting and the exchanging of gifts

For this swap, you will create 1 Artist Trading Card (ATC) for 1 partner. You must make your ATC in the spirit of Yule. But there is a twist! The twist is that you must somehow incorporate the opposite of what Yule represents. Think in terms of selfishness, sadness, loneliness, seduction, greed or even morbidity. For example, a Yule tree without presents underneath it, a creepy snowman, some gluttonous fairies or fey, a broken toy, a spoiled recipe, a very bad kitty, or even a naughty version of a Winter Solstice deity (no matter what your path) like Freya, La Befana, Odin, etc. This will really be up to YOUR interpretation of the holiday.

You can use any medium you fancy for your ATC, but please don't sticker-slap it, and be mindful of glitter (most people don't like it). You can check your partner's profile for likes and dislikes, but art is always sender's choice. You will have a little over 2 weeks to send, so please don't flake. Make your partner an awesome ATC you would love to have in your own collection. I am making this swap international, since it would be very cheap to mail an ATC. We also haven't had any international swaps up yet, and I want to be fair to all of our members, even though I consider this a type 3 swap. If you would like a USA-only version or to do a private swap, please PM me. Have fun!
