I collect an unusual (depending on who you ask) amount of things that I think will make great envelopes or mail art. Beer cases, clear plastic file organizers, small boxes, interesting plastic bags, signs, little books, flat tins...I really don't make good on turning them into mail all that often though. So for this swap, send your partner anything creative as mail art. The item can be creative itself (handmade) or creative in its mailing (a flip-flop? knock yourself out) or both. More ideas: If you choose to send something like an arty envelope or altered container of some sort, you do not have to include any "extras" or goodies inside. Unless you want to. The package, container or item itself can stand on its own as mail art without having to carry anything. The odder the item, the more postage it will likely need. Consult your tape measure and when in doubt, add more postage. Make sure to clearly label your mail piece with the swap title so your partner can rate once they receive. Maybe they get a lot of unusual mail? Swap image is an altered file folder (empty) that I created for another swap several years ago. |
