Description: | |
Let's make a page for our swap partner's Book of Shadows or Grimoire. Pages can be any style you choose: typed and printed, hand-lettered, rubber-stamped, water-colored, collaged, scrap-book style, drawn with pencil, ink, or markers, or ?. If you choose to do a typed/printed page, use quality paper like parchment and do not just copy and paste a ready-made page off of the internet--it must be a unique design created by you. You don't have to be an artist to participate--you just have to enjoy creating a beautiful page to share! Content can be a spell, a ritual, information--anything that would be useful to have as a reference. Your page must have some sort of decoration, images, or design--it cannot be just text. It also must contain some color--it cannot be just black and white. (If you can't think of a theme, go with Spring Equinox.) You must show that you have considered your partner's preferences to the best of your ability, but this is ultimately sender's choice. If you know that you can't comply with your partner's preferences (with good reason), notify them ahead of time so that they are not sadly disappointed when they open their package. Work something out that makes you both happy. It's all about managing expectations. If you think that you will have difficulty meeting any of the guidelines for this swap, do not join. If you have an emergency and can't fulfill your commitment, contact me to arrange an angel package. If you have any suggestions as to how to make this swap better, please let me know. I am committed to making this the best swap possible. :) Guidelines: -Use a medium that won't smear or be messy -Keep your magic ethical--no hexes, curses, or compelling without consent -Do not use cheesy Halloween images or anything else that would feel disrespectful.( If you are in doubt, send an e-mail to your partner and ask.) -Mail your page flat (unfolded) in either a stiff photo-mailer envelope or add a piece of cardboard to a regular envelope to keep it rigid. (A cut up cereal box works well.) Your page must be packaged so that it will arrive in good shape. -Protect your page with a plastic page protector--they are inexpensive and easily found in the office or school supply section of stores like Target or Wal-Mart. -Include a letter telling your partner about the page you made for them. Write about your experiences with the subject matter. Your partner will love keeping your letter with your page. The best part of this swap will be making friends with similar interests! -Document your sources if you copy a spell from a book Please answer the following questions and post the answers below:
