I've been looking for something different to offer as a swap and I think I've found it! I ran across this idea on the web and thought it would make a fun swap for the group! I made a little house to make sure it could be done - it turned out so cute! I used a tiny clothespin to close the top of the house so I could get inside to turn on the little battery operated candle.....so pretty when the little house is lit up - or not! I'm going to use the little houses in the Spring decorations I put on the table This is so easy to do - so don't get anxious - you can do it! Make 3 houses in various papers (different colors and designs) for your partner.... Use papers that have a plain side and a printed side (unless you have excellent eye sight - then it doesn't matter!) - PRINT THE TEMPLATE out using the plain side of the papers so it's easier to see the lines when cutting... Use CARD STOCK papers to make them sturdy and easier to work with! DO NOT put the houses together! Your partner will put the houses together....ONLY cut the houses out where needed and SHIP FLAT to your partner - DON'T FORGET to cut out the little windows! I used a craft knife and it worked perfectly! You are only sending the house templates - It is up to your partner to put the houses together! Here are links to the tutorial and the template ENJOY! |
