This swap is for a Profile specific art piece, in any art medium. Here are just a few examples: watercolor, acrylic, jewelry, art dolls, assemblages, sewn art, sculpture, pottery, photography, mixed media, etc. I've been asked what I consider Art Jewelry.....For me art jewelry. in particular. is usually considered a unique, one of a kind piece of art, often intended to be an heirloom jewelry piece, of higher quality (no plastic pony beads. etc) and certainly representing the artistic vision of the artist.......a scrabble tile type pendant with a glued on image that was photo copied or cut out of a magazine would not qualify as art jewelry to me. Now if the artist hand painted the scene and you put it on a necklace that you made with quality materials, or you could make a pendant from you blowing glass or using pottery, or making a mixed media art pendant, or using PMC, or wood burning, felting the wool yourself, free form beading or crocheting, etc...all are unique one of a kind items, requiring artistic vision and skill. I hope that helps our jewelry artists. Please remember to rate your partner not on if you personally liked their art, but rather if you received it and it met guidelines. Thank you. |
