Tumbling into the height of the season (summer for many of us, winter for others), let's go chasing waterfalls. I am so fascinated by the variety of minibooks that can be made, and I just noticed a new one that seems to be popular among scrapbookers: the waterfall flip book. Some do not have tabs, and some do. The tabbed flip book in the tutorial link above is pretty heavily embellished, which to me screams "hard to post," but do not fear -- here is a more simple version, without the handy paper-saving cutting chart of the one above. Here is a cute video demonstrating the expected flippiness of the book. Those of you who know me well are doubtless looking for a theme here, as I am usually into themes! Waterfalls are about freedom and going with the flow, so no theme assigned this time, but I have two suggestions if you want a prompt idea: 1) free flow of your ideas -- build the book base, then let your mind wander through it! and 2) work with what you've got, going through your scrap pile, magazines, or junk mail. One waterfall flip book to one partner. No size requirement but fitting into a standard or greeting card size envelope encouraged if that suits you. Thickness of paper up to you, but sturdier paper will probably be better for this one, particularly if your book has a pull tab. Book may be collaged, painted, sketched in, written in or otherwise created in any theme. Freedom encouraged! open to all ZMACS members in good standing; I will send a book to anyone who does not receive one from their partner.
