Description:

Are you overloaded of items? Are you the type who go to stores and can't leave without a haul of stationery items? Do you have extras and wish to share with your partner? So, it is a good idea to do a quick flat mail swap. You will be assigned to one partner, and you will send things you already have. You don't need to buy anything, except the postage. However, the items must be unused and clean. It is an international swap, so the postage should cost around 2-3 USD. If your partner lives in the same country, the postage cost is still the same. You can add extras. It is not a profile based swap, but I highly recommend you to check your partner's "likes". If your partner is allergic to make ups, then it doesn't make any sense you send a make up sample, right? The cost for this swap before the postage is around 6 USD. You can send notecards, letter sets, sticker sheets, postcards, memo sheets, bookmarks, keyrings, magnets, button pins, anything to make your partner to smile. The minimum rate for this swap is 4.95. Experienced swappers and rated newbies with 10 swaps types "2" or "3" can participate. Please rate your partner 5 when you receive the items. It is a drama free and non-flakers zone. I will check everyone's profile. Happy Swapping!

I'm a little unclear on how the cost of the swap before postage is 6 USD, yet it says that you don't need to buy anything. I'm also unclear on how this is Type 2: Flat mail if I'm spending 2-3 dollars on postage. Clarify please? Also it sounds like if I receive a partner in the same country I'm essentially supposed to stuff an envelope to get the postage higher, but if I'm stuffing an envelope it doesn't make sense for the swap to be called "quick flat mail". I would love some clarification, it sounds like a great swap if I understand what is expected.

I'm not the host, but:

1) I think s/he means that while you don't have to buy anything, the estimated VALUE of the items you send should be about equivalent to 6 USD.

2) Flat mail to international locations WOULD cost 2-3 dollars. For example, I live in Canada, and non-overweight/non-oversize flat mail to anywhere international is $2.95, and even a postcard to anywhere out of North America is $2.50. IMHO, I agree with the host that it would be fair to expect people who get matched with partners from their own region to spend the same amount of postage as those who are matched with international partners so that everything is equal.
