Hello everyone! This is my first swap in this group, so I hope it will be interesting. I have a wish... for a pretty handmade journal that I can use, but that is made by someone else. I have enough of my own to last me, but I love variety. Please create a blank journal for your partner in your own style and favorite technique, but take at least 2 details from their profile to personalize it and make it specially for them. For instance, if they love the color purple and butterflies, you could use purple pages and decorate the cover in a butterfly theme. If they love vintage theme and music, you could stamp the pages with music notes and use a vintage charm at the end of a bookmark ribbon. If they love the movie The Big Lebowski and Gothic style, put a gargoyle on the cover and pepper the pages with Dudisms. Two details is the minimum, but feel free to get as artistic as you'd like. There should be at least 32 inside pages. A single signature book is easy to make, and just 8 pieces of paper folded in half equals 32 pages. Multiple signature books are also encouraged. I think the cover should be at least 3.5" x 5", at minimum. No matter what the size and shape, the surface area of the cover should be at least 17.5" (3.5" x 5"). That does not mean you have to use those measurements, or even that the journal has to be a rectangle, it's just so that we are receiving writable journals, not miniature books. Of course, if your partner loves tiny books, and they OK the send, that is up to you. I'm just thinking I want a good sized book to use. I'm putting the send by date far off because I know these things can take a while, and I want quality, non-rushed work. |
