Description:

Create a collage postcard that incorporates the image transfer technique.

Many of you will have tried this technique already. For others, if this is your first time, get ready for some fun.

There are a few ways to achieve image transfer - go to youtube or google and search for "image tranfer" or "text transfer" or "photo transfer."

There is a packing tape transfer method, but let's not do that for this swap. Stick to using the gel medium method.

Pinterest has a gagillion examples

Here's a nice, clear tutorial from Julee at D.I.Y. Louisville

Please message me with questions or post them below.

Postcards can be any size but no smaller than 4 x 6 inches. Apply proper postage depending on size and bulk.

Mail it naked please.

This is sender's choice so you can begin now.

Create something wonderful.

The focus of the art should be collage, but other media are welcome.

Be sure to write the name of the swap and your swapbot name on your postcard so you can get rated.

Remember to rate! That's part of the fun of being at swapbot.

Thanks and have fun.

I've made this swap USA only given the cost of postage. If any of our members would like to host an international version of this swap, please contact me.

@Angie can you clarify this line: "There is a packing tape transfer method, but let's not do that for this swap. Stick to using the gel medium method."

Are you saying that gel medium is the ONLY method we can use? Or just that we can't use packing tape transfer? (For example, is xylene transfer okay?)

That method looks great! Feel free to use it!
