Since Swapbot no longer notifies us by email when new group swaps are posted, I make a weekly tour through "my" groups to see if anything new is in the works. And this group, with it's beautiful name (see, I just love anything "vintage"!) and wonderful list of artist-members, caught my eye today. And I thought...why not? Why not see how it goes with an altered puzzle piece swap? I've made several (actually, many) altered puzzle pieces, and they are so much fun to make...as well as a bit challenging, since your images and embellishments must be quite small, to fit the puzzle piece with it's irregular outline. I bought a pack of 4 or 5 children's puzzles at Walmart, and I'm still using them for altered puzzle pieces. They are small enough to still be a challenge, but big enough so you don't have to use your magnifiers to see what you're doing! So find a children's puzzle just for this purpose, and have fun with it...I find these little beauties quite addictive! |
