I am slowly getting back into swapping, and since Halloween is one of my very favorite times of the year, it only seemed appropriate to do a Halloween themed swap :) What is a Flip Bag/Loaded Pocket, you ask? Well, this is where it gets a little confusing. They go by many names, kind of like someone running from the law ... Flip Bag, Loaded Pocket, Loaded Bag, Bag Flip, Loaded Envelope. The concept is pretty simple though. Thankfully! Basically, what you do is take a flat paper bag and fold the bottom up a bit. Glue that part at the edges, and voila! You now have a pocket on the front. The idea is to load goodies into that pocket, as well as the main part of the bag. The bag you start with is totally up to you, but it should be flat. It can be kraft, a solid color, or a printed goodie bag. Let's say about 8" X 5" or bigger. Once you create the pocket on the front, go ahead and decorate that beauty up in a Halloween theme. Use inks, decorative papers, cutouts, collage, etc. to give your bag some pizazz. Once decorated, fill up with goodies. Add at least 5 different things to your pockets. At least 1 item should be in a Halloween theme and created by you. The other 4 items may be anything you like and do not necessarily have to be Halloween related. Some Ideas:
This is entirely sender's choice, but it's always nice to take a quick peek at your partner's profile and see if there's something that would really make this special. Swap will be due to be sent by the 23rd. I think that should allow us ample time to be creative, and have it arrive in time for Halloween. There are tons of ideas and tutorials on youtube and Pinterest. If you have any questions, or need help, message me :) Have fun with this one! Image: via google |
