QNT Sewing supply dig-in-your-stash scavenger hunt USA 1-19-18 thru 2-12-18 --1 partner --receiving partner to pick from the list of items below (5) things they would like you to send them --you will also add an item from the list for a total of (6) items sent to your partner (it can be a duplicate of one already picked by partner or a different one) All items should be unused, they may be vintage but no one should have to clean old thread from buttons, or snaps, or hook and eyes. Items do NOT have to be on a display card like when you bought them, but if loose put them in a zippy bag so they don’t get lost. The point is to dig in your stash and NOT HAVE TO GO TO THE STORE (sorry) to shop for these items. I have an overflowing supply of some of these items which is what suggested this swap idea to me. A. Recipients may request specifics but it will ultimately be sender’s choice (not everyone has everything in their stash, although some do) B. Recipients may specify things they would especially NOT be able to use – add as a comment at the bottom of the swap C. All fabric must be 100% cotton quilting fabric, clean and unused LIST: 6 novelty buttons, any size shape, color, or subject (they can be all the same or a variety) At least 1 card of new buttons, either: one large (1 ½ inch or bigger) two medium (around 1 inch) multiple smalls, sender’s choice 1 unused zipper up to 9†in length (sender’s choice of color and length but nothing longer than 9†inches unless partner requests it) 6 black or silver snaps, any size, you can send some of both if you want 3 or more hooks-n-eyes, silver or black any size Five 5â€X5†novelty print fabric charms, 100% cotton fabric, 1 iron on decal, sender’s choice 1 orphan block, (or more) clean, neatly made with no errors, (senders choice of block) 1 ten-inch charm of small print fabric, recipients may suggest a color but this will be sender’s choice (100% cotton fabric) 1 ten-inch charm of any print or color, recipient’s choice (be generic, not everyone has polka dots, or plaids in their stash…etc) 1 thimble (this can be a collectable thimble or one to use for sewing) 1 tape measure 1 handmade gift, must include fabric – suggestions: pin cushion, small zippered bag, mug rug, mini art quilt, needle holder, scissors holder, etc. 3 (or more) new DMC (or equivalent brand) embroidery floss (recipients may request but it will be sender’s final choice of colors) 1 package of needles example: embroidery, quilting betweens, sharps (recipients may request but will depend if senders has them) Something I didn’t think of that you may have a lot of and need to share. If we have a good turnout for this swap, we will do it a couple more times this year. Swap-on. |
