I was at the initial Earth Day celebration in Santa Barbara. The blowout on Platform A really got people's attention about the fragility of the environment, and others had been showing folks how to do organic gardening. It was 2 blocks of a street downtown blocked off and filled with booths of informative matter.I still have a booklet of poems by Henry Gibson ( of Laugh-In fame) from that day.
