For this swap we’ll be using Art Journaling method by Shannon Green called Journaling by 5’s! It’s really a lot of fun and helpful if you’re not comfortable with mixed media…. this is a great way to experiment. There are five steps. This swap is for the first step which is laying down color. Any color… any way… with anything. There is NO wrong way to do this.

Please note that you need to sign up for all five swaps to participate!

On the back of your journal page be sure to start a list with your username and mailing information. You will be # one.

5 journal pages that should be:

*at least 90 lb. (card stock)

*at least 5 x 7 up to 8 x 11

Edit: Since everyone will be sending their own paper (which they will have returned to them at the end) send whatever size you want. I do suggest the above weight or heavier.

*This is step #1… add color that’s it. Add color in any way… with paint, ink, spray inks or rub herbs onto the paper (kidding) just put down random color

*You have 1 minute 30 seconds per page so set a timer for per page or set a timer to 6.5 minutes for all five pages and finish putting down your color in that time.
